Barrie Rugby was founded in 1967 by a group of athletes from Barrie and Base Borden. Today the club fields instructional and competitive teams for every age from Under 6 through Senior, welcoming new players regardless of experience.
President Pierre Gautier puts it simply: rugby builds teamwork and discipline, and it's one of the most welcoming sports there is for someone trying it for the first time.
Senior Men's and Women's teams play home matches on Jim Hamilton Field at the Barrie Community Sports Complex. Junior and youth programs run instructional and competitive streams right through to U18.
