First touches, real fun

Instructional sessions built around ball skills, footwork, and enjoying the game — open to complete beginners. No experience needed, and no player is turned away for cost (see Financial Assistance below).

Entry point into competitive age-grade rugby, playing a full Rugby Ontario / Toronto Rugby Union (TRU) calendar including regional qualifiers.

Competitive rugby with a track record on the road — recent squads have travelled to the Tropical 7s in Tampa Bay, where Barrie's U16 girls finished third overall, and hosted touring sides from overseas.

Barrie Rugby's RDO program partners with elementary and high schools across Simcoe County to introduce rugby in phys-ed classes, supporting teachers who are running the game for the first time.
