Barrie Rugby's roots run through Simcoe County high schools, three generations of playing families, and players who've gone on to represent Canada. This is where old teammates find each other again.

Jim Corrigal

Canadian Sports Hall-of-Famer who played as a schoolboy in the club's earliest years, before its 1967 founding as the Barrie Huronia Rugby Club.

Ian Cathery

Selected to Canada's National Team in the late 1980s — part of the Cathery family that shaped the club through the 1970s and '80s.

Michael Cathery

Went on to captain English Universities before continuing his playing career at Exeter.

Bernie LeSage

Played extensively across Ontario, Western Canada, and Europe, including an invitational side alongside the Belgian RFU President's Select.

Rob Avery

The club's longest-serving player, joining in the early 1970s and playing prop for the better part of two decades.

Jack LeSage

Club co-founder who introduced rugby to Barrie's high schools, planting the seed for the youth pathway the club still runs today.
